Home Our Services Executive Edge Seminars From Manager to Leader

A course in building effective leadership skills.

Why offer a seminar on Leadership?

Increasingly in horizontal or hierarchical management structures, periods of crisis or change, companies call on those that can lead by influence over position, a need for leaders over managers. In the middle ages the word « manager » in its original French, signified that the knight rode in harmony with his horse, succeeding in leading the beast without resorting to the whip. Nowadays the concept has been replaced by the very anglo-saxon, almost military term of « leadership ».If we seek leaders of men in our companies it is only logical to help them know where they are going by offering them some signposts. In other words, in order to successfully deal with a managerial obstacle they need to be able to identify the origin of the issue at hand and recognize the mechanisms in play. This course explores the differences between leaders and managers and encourages managers to think about their own leadership styles. It applies to both “new” managers and those needing a fresh look at the mechanics at play.
